About us

We understand that looking for a church home or just a place to visit for the purpose of worshipping can be overwhelming when you are in an unfamiliar place. Therefore, we would like to assist you in becoming acquainted with us prior to your visit. We are a congregation centrally located in downtown Augusta. We are a friendly and God fearing group of people who are just Christians trying to make heaven our home. Teaching the lost, reaching out to those in need and supporting one another in our Christian walk are our primary goals.

We are a nondenominational church with no earthly headquarter since the bible teaches that Christ is the head of the church (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:22-23).Since our beliefs are bible based, we do not require or insist that you accept the opinions of man; we simply ask that you search the scriptures for yourself and accept what the Lord would have you to do in regard to your salvation (Acts 17:11; II Timothy 2:15).

Beliefs

We believe in the Genesis account of the creation that God is the creator (Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 42:5; Colossians 1:16).

We believe that the bible was written by men inspired by God (II Timothy 3:16).

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he was sent by God to ultimately become man’s redeemer (John 3:16; Titus 2:14).

We believe that we must follow Jesus’ command to teach the gospel to everyone (Matthew 28:19).

We believe that fellowshipping one with another is important in maintaining unity (Psalm 133:1).

We believe that at the conclusion of Christ’s earthly ministry, he ascended back to heaven and that he will return again to receive the righteous unto himself (John 14:1-3).

Mission

The mission of the Church of Christ at Grace Street is to reach out to a lost and dying world by sharing the good news of the Gospel of Christ and by equipping the saints for service in the works of the Lord’s church.

Vision

Our vision is to assist the world in seeing, knowing and experiencing the love of God in its fullest form; and to establish a relationship with His son, Jesus Christ.
